The clash between two strong champions Cynthia and Ash has finally come. This is going to be the ever waited battle for the pokemon fans. This battle is expected to be too long as both are having strong pokemons by their side. This battle is going to involve both mega evolution and Gigantamax power clashes.
Who among the two is the strongest ?
In every series of pokemon it is seen that Ash goes on catching and training new pokemons of a region where he begins his journey. He only have one experienced pokemon partner by his side and that is his starter pokemon Pikachu. Whereas, on the other hand Cynthia always uses her strongest pokemons in every battle. So for Ash, this is going to be lot more tough as he is facing an experienced trainer like Cynthia who has a deep knowledge of skills and powers of her pokemons and how to use them in battles. This is something she has gained battling powerful opponents for a long time using the same pokemons.
Does this mean that Ash is going to loose the battle?
After considering Ash's battle with Steven (Hoenn region Champion) to enter into the semifinals, which ended with Ash's victory its right to say that Ash is a worthy opponent for Cynthia
.
In this battle chances of winning for Ash is less than 50 percent but the winner is not yet decided it will be revealed in the upcoming episodes. The first part of the Ash's semifinals ends with Ash's three pokemons and Cynthia's two pokemons defeated while in the second part the match takes a change of mode by Ash's Sirfetch'd defeating Cynthia's Milotic.
The second part ends leaving two pokemons undefeated on both sides. Ash is left with Lucario and Sirfetch'd while Cynthia is left with Garchomp and Togekiss. Both Sirfetch'd and Garchomp has taken a lot of damage. It is hard to decide who will win the battle after considering the damages they both took. In case of Garchomp, it is the starter and the most experienced pokemon of Cynthia whereas in the case of Sirfetch'd it is the pokemon that Ash caught in the current Journey. Togekiss is a flying type as well as fairy type pokemon whereas, both lucario and Sirfetch'd are fighting type pokemons so this means that Cynthia has type advantage on both Ash's pokemons. This lowers the chances of Ash's victory.

Ash's training with his pokemon partner Gengar, made him learn a new move:- will o wisp which is basically a fire type move that delivers a heavy damage to opponents and can also them burn. With this move his Gengar was able to defeat Metagross in the training battle with his rival Paul.
But in the semifinals the Gengar was unable to defeat Cynthia's Roserade which is a grass and poison type pokemon. Even after having a type advantage over roserade, the match ended leaving Gengar's taking damage and roserade burned with will o wisp move.
